Commander Carl

SpaceJunk Media needed a memorable, leave-behind promotion that worked as an extension of their existing brand. They came to me with the original idea of designing custom vinyl figures but after doing the research it was outside of budget and far exceeded the deadline. Moving ahead with the concept of creating a custom astronaut toy, I suggested we consider using paper instead. "Commander Carl" was born (aptly named after their science hero, Carl Segan). This new SpaceJunk paper astronaut is a part of a larger promotional set that was developed by Jeremy Slagle Graphic Design working with the creative minds at Spacejunk Media.
